How do you make an idea feel “real”?

Say you like an idea.

You want to make sure it sinks in.

What do you do?

Me? I generally tend to immediately start thinking about writing a blog post about it or, for bigger ideas, registering a domain, and for even bigger ideas, building a product.

Tweeting it, or liking it on Facebook, or other similar techniques is never enough. I still forget it within minutes.

Be registering a new domain, or thinking for a day about how to turn it into a product, for $10-$100 I can make most ideas feel “real”. Sunk cost is a powerful thing.
